Ann Bryce 1856-1886

Ann BRYCE II (1856-1886) was the daughter of Alexander BRYCE II and Isabella WATT. She married Robert William KELLS (1859 - 1923) in the Tomerong Union Church in 1885 but died in childbirth 11 months later.

"Sad Death. — We regret to record the sudden death of Mrs. Kells, at her residence, near Tomerong on Friday last, from causes some times attending accouchement (the process of giving birth). It seems that Mrs. Kells was up and about her usual household duties on Friday morning. Towards noon she became seriously ill. The nurse was sent for, and all that could be done was carried out by the nurse and deceased's mother; but the patient died at 2 p.m. Mrs. Kells (neé Annie Bryce) was a daughter of Mr. Alexr. Bryce of Erowel, and been married but about 12 months. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved husband and Mr. and Mrs. Bryce and family, this being the second married daughter of theirs who has died within the past 12 months or so. Mrs. Kells' remains were interred in the Presbyterian portion of the public cemetery Nowra last Monday, when a large number of friends and mourners made up the procession." Ann is buried near her parents and Robert and his third wife are buried nearby. [1]
