William BRYCE I
From Tomerong Past Wiki
'This page is still under development.' William BRYCE (1820-1892) was born in Whitburn Scotland to Alexander Bryce I and Marion Russell. Whitburn is half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. William was the second oldest son of about six children with Alexander BRYCE II his younger brother by two years. Their sister, Anne BRYCE I, had married Malcolm MATHIE I in 1834 in Whitburn. In 1852, William married Mary STARK in Whitburn, and shortly after the two families, William and Alexander, emigrated to NSW.[1]
They arrived in NSW and stayed at the home of the Bryce's Uncle, Ebenezer Russell. The Russell family was also from Whitburn and had made their home on the Croom Estate, south of Albion Park.
